ABOUT ERICA RAWLINS

Erica A. Rawlins is a young professional hungry for change and impact. She is a first-generation American with Caribbean roots. Over the course of her career, she has worked in the communications, social, and event planning space for nonprofits, agencies and a corporate brand. She continued to refine her writing skills as a contributing writer for the Travel Curator and the Newhouse Insider, in addition to using graphic design for storytelling. In her professional career, she brings the perspective of a global citizen to provide inclusive and diverse input. Erica’s inquisitive nature and thirst for knowledge strive to always bring underrepresented voices to the table.

Erica graduated from undergrad debt-free and is committed to using her platform to help the next generation do the same. She launched The Scholars Toolkit in December 2020 to reimagine the standard of education. She believes education should be a passport for your future, not a debt sentence. Her goal is to educate her community about financial literacy.

She has a BA in Mass Communications from Clark Atlanta University and a MA in International Relations and MS in Public Relations from Syracuse University. As a member of ColorComm and a ColorComm mentee, Erica is an advocate for diversity in communications. In her spare time, Erica enjoys reading, baking, and traveling.
